Difference Between BBA LLB and BBA LLB (Hons)
The critical difference between a general BBA LLB and a BBA LLB (Hons) program is that in case of a BBA LLB (Hons) course, the students have to study additional subjects and do more projects and research. Therefore, as mandated by the Bar Council of India (BCI), a student pursuing a BBA LLB (Hons) program would need to take minimum 36 papers, which must include the 18 compulsory papers, along with four 22 Bar Council of India clinical papers. These also include any six optional papers and eight papers in specialisation or honours course in any group. Whereas, in a BBA LLB program, the students need to appear for at least 28 law papers.
As part of a BBA LLB (Hons) program, the BCI states that Compulsory and Optional subjects may be selected from the subjects. Some of these are Business Communication, Quantitative Analysis, Human Resource Management, Business Statistics, Business Mathematics, Accounts and Finance, Management Theory and Practice, Business Environment, and Marketing Management. Language policy, however, remains the same. A student can opt for English as a major or minor subject, along with other management subjects.
